• Explore the definition of trauma informed care through lecture and discussion of articles and other materials
• Learn why trauma informed care is particularly important in communicating with perinatal clients, and which clients are at higher risk for trauma
• Develop ways to communicate from a trauma informed approach with clients through role play and discussion
